The Hallé

Norfolk

Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2
Missy Mazzoli Sinfonia (for Orbiting Spheres)
Dvořák Symphony No. 8

The Hallé are joined by former Chief Conductor of the Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Bern Opera House, Kevin John Edusei to perform Dvořák’s uplifting Eighth Symphony, bursting with beguiling folk tunes of Bohemia.

The concert will open with American composer Missy Mazzoli’s Sinfonia (for Orbiting Sphere’s), a churning, rolling piece – music in the shape of the solar system. Argentinian pianist Nelson Goerner will perform Rachmaninov’s incredibly popular, and notoriously difficult to play, Second Piano Concerto.
