Anna’s latest commissions have come from the European Space Agency, writing music to Earth Observation Data tracking the climate crisis; and the University of Kent in association with Cancer Research UK, for whom she composed a choral–orchestral work in response to cancer and dementia research.

Her instrumental duo AVAWAVES is signed to One Little Independent Records (home to Björk and Skunk Anansie), releasing its second album Chrysalis in October 2021. AVAWAVES recently scored the feature documentary Savage Waters (dir. Mikey Corker).

She has also recently composed for the ten-part audiobook series The Effect for Audible, as well as the forthcoming BBC Radio 4 drama Barred.

Anna is currently leading the cross-disciplinary project Cantium Arts in collaboration with Dover Arts Development and Arts Council England, featuring an online gallery, live recordings, and a performance and installation.

“Anna Phoebe is unclassifiable. And superbly talented. And an artist without limits. And political. … Female artistic outliers like her shatter social constructions and garner huge popularity and praise. It unsettles austere rule-keepers and/or men who are insecure about their own masculinities.” — Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, in her book Ladies Who Punch (2020)

“I’m weak for string slides.” — Billie Eilish

“Anna is a magician and all-round goddess.” — Mary Anne Hobbs

“Absolutely love Anna.” — Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music)

“I’m a great admirer of her work.” — Jools Holland
