Norwich Theatre Royal

A 1,300 seat art-deco theatre, renovated and modernised in 2006, the Norwich Theatre Royal features an extensive programme from opera, plays, musicals and dance to family shows, pantomimes and music.

Fancy some food before a show? The Café Restaurant and Bar offer a wide range of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks. For a more sophisticated dinner, you can enjoy meals at the Prelude restaurant.

Accessible facilities include excellent wheelchair access, signed, captioned and audio described performances.

Norwich Theatre Playhouse

This city-centre theatre is known for its quirky, offbeat and brilliant shows, and its ever popular bar. Big-name comedians, fantastic Fringe productions, magnificent music, amazing drama, great family shows and so much more. The intimate 300 seat auditorium is the perfect place to enjoy an evening of theatre.

Attached to the theatre is the outstanding and hugely popular bar, with a selection of local ales, teas, coffees, hot chocolates and hot cider. The bar is open until midnight for after-show discussions and drinks.

All public areas have disabled access, guide dogs are welcome and The Playhouse uses the Sennheiser infra-red hearing system in the auditorium. Disabled parking and discounted tickets are available.

Norwich Puppet Theatre

Norwich Puppet Theatre, housed wthin a converted medieval church, is brilliant for a unique evening of entertainment. With a programme of original shows and activities – it’s also one of only three building-based puppet theatre in England.

Home to a family of puppets spanning over 35 years, they produce new shows for families and children.

You can also contact the theatre for group show and tell activities or workshops. For groups of up to 30, you can see the puppets, tour the theatre, or even participate in a puppet making or shadow play workshop.

The Garage

The home of performing arts in Norwich. The Garage provides a creative space to learn and create. But it also programmes a variety of small-scale performances in its intimate 113 seat theatre. You can find both local and national productions of theatre, dance and music performed here.

All public areas have disabled access, there are wheelchair accessible toilets with colour contrast and a shower on each main floor and service dogs are welcome.
