Norwich is the perfect place to visit in all seasons, with plenty to do whenever you come. However, if you’re looking for a little extra wow factor, there are plenty of events throughout the year that make Norwich an even more sought after destination!
Christmas is the perfect time of year to visit The City of Stories. Lights deck the streets. Festive projections can be seen on Norwich Castle. Christmas markets and fairs take place in the city and in Norfolk. And there’s the ever-popular Tunnel of Light. Plus, with the cities abundance of independent shops and high street favourites, it’s the perfect location for a bit of Christmas shopping.
From 17th – 19th February 2022, performance and art will light up the streets of Norwich.
A huge success when it debuted in 2020, Love Light Norwich is returning in 2022. A festival spanning 3 nights, there will be a free art trail of discovery, taking in Norwich’s iconic landmarks and lesser-known spaces. Plus a range of exciting performances to be announced.
One of the big four UK international arts festivals, the Norfolk & Norwich Festival is a highlight in Norwich’s annual calendar. Each May, the city is transformed, with music, theatre, literature, visual arts, dance and more taking over cultural venues and pop up performance spaces.
Stretching across 17 days, the festival features over 100 performances from superb companies and ensembles from all over the world. And in 2022, the festival celebrates its 250th year – so it will be bigger and better than ever! 13th – 29th May 2022.
