Under £10

Grosvenor Fish Bar

Grosvenor Fish Bar is one of the city’s most popular fish and chip shops for a reason!

It’s hard to pass by Grosvenor Fish Bar without your tummy rumbling- no matter the time of day! It’s one of the city’s most popular fish and chip shops for a reason. Tuck into a moreish chip butty for just £2.50 or Cod Wallops (fresh cod bites and chips) for £8.50.

Grosvenor Fish Bar is also known for its exciting seafood selection. We suggest the 7 Quid Squid- crispy squid rings with aioli and chips, £7.50- or Mussels from Brussels- shelled mussels in garlic butter sauce with chips, £9!

Logan’s

Logan’s have an amazing array of sandwiches

As one of Norwich’s oldest sandwich shops, Logan’s is a go-to for freshly made sandwiches, salads, soups and jacket potatoes. With classic flavours like tuna melt, inviting combinations like BBQ chicken and a wonderful choice for veggies and vegans, prices start at £6.20 to eat-in and £5.20 to takeaway.

Visiting on a Friday? It’s Free Fries Friday for anyone who treats themselves to one of Logan’s delicious specials (takeaway only)!

Cafe Gelato

In need of a sweet snack? Head straight to Cafe Gelato

As far as ice cream goes, you can’t get much better than Cafe Gelato. This family-run artisanal gelateria honours the traditional Italian way and all in-house! With one scoop (or should we say spatula) starting at £3.60 and two for £5.20, it would be rude not to try more than one flavour. Especially when they range from Norfolk strawberry to tiramisu to salted caramel. Yum!

Norwich Market

You won’t regret a New York-style stacked sandwich from Norwich Market!

Head to Norwich Market for an enticing array of global food at your fingertips. Here, your average lunch will only cost between £7 – £9. Popular choices include katsu chicken from Taste of Shanghai, fluffy bao buns from Bun Box, and Bodega’s huge (and we really mean huge!) New-York style stacked sandwiches- go for the Parmaggedon.

The Assembly House

Keep room for The Assembly House’s afternoon tea!

For a special occasion, you can’t go wrong with themed afternoon tea at The Assembly House (£32.50pp). While it’s the expected price for afternoon tea, there’s no denying you’re getting value for money.

There are dainty finger sandwiches (which can be re-filled), a selection of buttery savouries, and fruit and cheese scones (which are not only huge, but are brought to your table separately when you’re ready).

And where else can you get such an amazing selection of cakes? This is tea topped with finesse. From glitter-dusted shortbreads to adorable animal macarons!
