Festive Lights Switch-on

Castle and Marketplace

This free family-friendly event marks the start of the city’s festive season and brings together residents and visitors for an evening of entertainment and celebration.

Attendees can look forward to many of the popular features that have become a highlight of previous years, including live performances, seasonal entertainment, special guest appearances, festive activities and, of course, the countdown to the city’s Christmas lights being illuminated.

Whether you’re visiting with family, friends or neighbours, the Festive Lights Switch-on is a great opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of Norwich city centre as the festive season begins.

Thousands are expected to gather in front of City Hall to see the official start of the festive season. This year the switch will be flicked by Jack Dean, aka YouTuber and podcaster JaackMaate, and his Happy Hour podcast co-hosts Stevie White and Robbie Knox.
