Go, Go, Go Discover the Dinos at Chantry Place!

If you’ve been out and about in Norwich recently, you may have noticed a few prehistoric visitors around. On 12th July 2021 the GoGoDiscover T.rex Sculpture Trail was launched, bringing 21 Tyrannosaurus-Rex sculptures, each individually decorated by local and national artists, to the city.

Want to take the trail but are not quite sure where to start? Then we suggest heading to Chantry Place. Not only does Chantry Place have THREE T.rex sculptures to find, they’re also participating in the dino-themed City Food Trail and they have fun dino graphics around the centre – perfect for families to enjoy.

So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to go on a Jurassic Jaunt.

Find the T.rex

T.Pot

This bright and spotty T.rex is there to welcome you at the entrance for a day’s shopping, eating and fun! Grab a picture with T.Pot, and maybe get one at Chantry Place’s rainbow in the square too.

T.Wrecks

Want to see something totally dino-mite? Well head on inside to the lower ground floor and you’ll find T.Wrecks. This terrifying dinosaur is kept in its cage to keep you all safe. Although who knows if it’ll break out sometime soon and go on a rampage!

Afternoon Tea Rex

Want a break from dino-hunting? Need to get something to refuel? Well head on up to the dining terrace and you’ll be treated to another of our T.rex friends – as well as some scrumptious food! Isn’t it just tea-riffic?

Dino-themed dining

After time spent searching for dinosaurs treat yourself to a bite to eat and a sit down. There’s a whole host of restaurants, cafes, and bars to choose from at Chantry Place, but if you want to continue the dino-fun, head to Ed’s Easy Diner, which is offering up an exclusive themed menu as part of the City Food Trail. The best American Diner-sauras experience in town, tuck into a scrumptious Hot Dog-asauras, which is sure to satisfy even the littles ones with a dino-sized appetite!

But hurry – it won’t all be around forever! The City Food Trail finishes on 22 August and the T.rex sculptures are here until 11 September.

More dino-fun…

And after you’ve eaten? Keep your eyes peeled as you wonder through Chantry Place, as there’s even more dinosaur fun to discover.

Throughout the centre you’ll find T.rex graphics – perfect for selfies. Reach into a T.rex’s mouth or see if you can spot a 3D dinosaur head bursting out of the wall!
