A relaxed, informal class, where you can spend time making and glazing your own slab-built botanical planter. This class is suitable for beginners as well as anyone who attended a previous workshop. I am a qualified teacher and the class takes place at my studio in Brooke, just south of Norwich.
In this workshop, we’ll be making a planter using a slab building with an overlapped join as a feature. We will decorate it with impressions of leaves and Autumn foliage and then add colour using underglazes. I will then fire your planter, give it a transparent glaze and then fire it for the second time.
All equipment and materials are supplied and you will be able to make, glaze and take home (in a couple of weeks after firing) a unique piece of pottery that you have made yourself.
Pottery is fantastic for relaxation, mindfulness and wellbeing as well as being an incredibly rewarding hobby.
Included:
All materials, including clay and underglaze.
Firing and a final clear glaze.
All equipment.
