Paradise Lost and Found

A dramatic history of the Plantation Garden and what came before it

FREE Public Performances

Wednesday 5th July, 11am, 12.30pm, and 2.00pm

Visitors to the Plantation Garden on Wednesday 5th July are invited to join us for exclusive performances of our specially-commissioned dramatic production by the Time Will Tell theatre company.

“Paradise Lost and Found” is a bespoke costume drama telling the colourful story of the Garden’s Victorian origins, its collapse into ruin in the twentieth century, and its later rescue by local people, to become the little gem it is today.

The show, originally devised for Primary aged children, can be enjoyed by all ages, and is especially suited to families.

These special performances will take place in the Garden itself, and last for around 40 minutes. Visitors are advised to arrive in good time to secure the best viewing spots.

Weatherproof flooring will be available to sit on.

Admission is subject to the normal entrance requirements (£2 for adults, members and under-16’s free). Please note that children should be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Afterwards the audience can continue to explore Plantation Garden itself, with its amazing gothic fountain, staircase and other stone features, plus woodland areas, grottos, and spectacular flower beds.
