Winter Wonderland Norwich is an event that offers Christmas family fun for everyone with a huge real Ice Rink, Thrilling Rides, a Giant Observation Wheel plus themed bars for the grown-ups.

The event opens daily (except Christmas Day) from Friday 22nd November 2024 until Sunday 5th January 2025

Visitors can expect to get lost in the twists and turns in a bigger and better Real Christmas Tree Maze, Father Christmas and his Elves will be arriving on opening evening and staying through until Christmas Eve where younger guests can visit his upscaled Grotto, meet the man himself and receive a special Christmas gift.

Additionally, guests can enjoy Skating on our biggest ever REAL Ice Rink. A spokesperson for Winter Wonderland added, “We have sized up our rink making it the biggest outdoor covered rink in the UK, guests can enjoy skating in all weathers thanks to the gigantic clear span cover. With thousands of glistening lights, the rink and its skaters will be a spectacular sight and is suitable for the whole family, skate hire is included in the tickets, and skate aids are available to help younger skaters and those taking their first steps on the ice.”

Anyone who buys a ticket to ice skating also gets free admission into the whole event so can sample rides, food and a mass of attractions before they get their skates on!

The popular Funfair and Theme Park rides are back including Roller Coasters, the Snow Dome Waltzer, plenty of family rides such as Dodgems, the Big Top Fun House and lots of children’s rides. Thrill-seekers can experience some of the fastest rides travelling such as Red Devil & Airmaxx, a 60m Sky Swing Attraction and new for this year is the Extreme. And new for 2024 are ALL RIDE PASSES! – Enjoy the ultimate Winter Wonderland experience with unlimited access to the rides* for the entire day! These all-day passes include General Admission and unlimited rides*, subject to height and age restrictions. It’s the best value for money, letting guests enjoy the thrills and fun all day long (*excludes Giant Wheel).

Christmas chalets, Bavarian style bars with fire pits and a coal fired grill offering Frankfurters, Krakauer and Bratwurst with delicious side dishes are also on offer – while there is also an Alpine-style beer hall with Live Music. Throughout the attraction yule also find an array of live entertainment, including stilt walkers, real elves, and some of your favourite characters.

Organisers behind the event say everything from European produce and traditional festive refreshments will be on offer, including mulled wine, mince pies, Lebkuchen and Raclette, as well as festive street food and the infamous “Yorkshire pudding wraps.”

Guests will need to purchase an entry ticket on their first visit, which once purchased includes FREE return entry for the season to visit continually until 5th January. There is free onsite car parking too and once inside guests may stay as long as they like.

Entry tickets and tickets to the attractions and rides are available to purchase in advance online or on the day via the Box Office on site.

By Car –

From the North and West – easily situated just off the A47 Norwich Southern Bypass at the A1074 Longwater Interchange.

From the South and East – Travelling to Norwich via the A11 from London any beyond or A140 from Ipswich, take the A47 westbound and follow the signs for Norfolk Showground. Car Parking is FREE!
