Norwich Summer Sessions - Bat Fish
Loud and in-your-face indie/jazz groove modernists
Batfish combine elements of jazz, rock and indie music, being described by Lowestoft Jazz Weekend organisers as “loud and in-your-face jazz groove modernists”.
The five-piece has been performing in and around Norwich since early 2025, building up a reputation for spirited live shows and a unique musical style. Saxophone-driven compositions, a focus on grooves and a tendency to blur genre lines result in vibrant, moody, uplifting music.
The band’s approach is rooted in collaboration, with each member bringing their own musical experiences to the table to create something fresh and distinctive. Batfish remain deliberately hard to pin down, allowing their music to shift and evolve. Performances will commence at 12:45pm, 2pm & 3:15pm and will last for around 30-40mins.
