Although we can’t deny the temptation of a chocolate egg (or two!), Easter is also a time for making memories with loved ones. So, with two weeks of school holidays to enjoy, there’s loads to keep the family occupied in the City of Stories and beyond!
From egg-cellent egg hunts (always a favourite) to spellbinding shows and fun-filled activities. Whether you’re visiting friends, spending quality time with family or you’re here on holiday, there are so many egg-citing events (indoor and out!) in Norwich and Norfolk this Easter.

Easter Performances at Norwich Puppet Theatre

There’s plenty to keep us all occupied at Norwich Puppet Theatre this Easter
Everyone loves getting lost in the magic of a story right? At Norwich Puppet Theatre, this Easter, there’s a whole host of puppet performances to enjoy, including an Easter panto (oh, yes, there is)!
Start with Snow White, Rose Red, Bear Brown (Saturday 28 March, 11am & 2.30pm, adults £13.50, children £11.50) and follow twins Snow White and Rose Red as they discover why a friendly bear wants to join them. Then, Mother Goose (31 March – 4 April, 11am, 2.30pm & 7.30pm, adults £16, children £12) brings all the magic and hilarity you’d expect from a panto! Think outrageous villains (boo), glittering fairy magic and plenty of surprises!
Later in the holidays, Hay (Sunday 5 April, 11am & 2.30pm, adults £13.50, children £11.50) is an accessible show exploring how one word can have many meanings as Farmer Geenie’s scarecrow grows up and discover his countryside home. Meanwhile, The Detective Dog (7 & 8 March, 11am & 2.30pm, adults £14.50, children £12.50) is adapted from Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie’s much-loved tale with BSL, captions and spoken word and made with d/Deaf families in mind, and Hello Egg (6 – 11 April, 10.30am, 12.15pm & 1.30pm, adults £13.50, children £11.50) is an ideal introduction to early years. Think interactive textures, bright colours and a heartwarming story of a curious little mouse who finds a mysterious big egg!

Known for their long, floppy ears and distinctive brown and white hair, the Goat Shed’s friendly Boer herd is expecting! This is your chance to meet and cuddle their newest arrivals and grab the perfect photo with the ‘coolest kids on the block’ (sorry).
Sessions last 20 minutes, so you’ll have loads of time in the goat pen, and enjoy watching the kids as they bounce, bleat and show off!
