Twenty Stories. One City. The City of Stories.
George Skipper (1856 – 1948)
Known as ‘Norfolk’s secret’, Skipper began his career in architecture in 1873. An eclectic architect, he saw architecture as art and took much inspiration from history and classical architecture.
Did you know Sir John Betjeman- poet laureate and architectural campaigner- described Skipper as the ‘Gaudi of Norwich’?
