City Food Trail Taking Over Norwich

We’re thrilled with how many local bars and restaurants are taking part in Norwich BID’s City Food Trail project! Running until Sunday 22nd August, there is still time to treat yourself and your tastebuds to scrumptious dishes being served across Norwich.

If you were planning a visit to Norwich, there is no better time to head out and get involved with the City Food Trail. Check out some of the fantastic treats being served by businesses as part of our dino-themed extravaganza.

The Waffle House Norwich 
It doesn’t get much better than this, an erupting chocolate mousse volcano with salted caramel lava, chocolate soil, honeycomb rocks, T-Rex biscuits, and dinosaur eggs from the Waffle House. A must-visit during the City Food Trail.

Frank’s Bar
Frank’s Bar has created four different dishes to celebrate the dinosaurs arriving in Norwich. Serving Pterodactyl wings marinated in a lightly spiced sauce, blue corn tortilla chips with a trio of Stegosauras dips! To wash it down you can choose from the Velociraptor ginger ale or the Jurassic Julep.

The Ivy Norwich Brasserie 

Located in the heart of Norwich Lanes, the Ivy Norwich Brasserie is offering a limited edition cocktail, with a hint of cazcabel coconut tequila, sugar syrup, topped with fever-tree Mexican lime and yuzu soda, and garnished with serrated banana leaf. They’ve also created an egg-cellent combination of white chocolate mousse, passionfruit and mango with dessert, The Lost Chocolate Egg .

An independent hotel, located in Tombland, also known to be the oldest hotel in the UK. You can enjoy a dino afternoon tea, which will include dino bones, Raptor rolls, Brontosaurus bites, prehistoric dirt, and Raptor punch.

Salt Norwich 

Salt Norwich, are offering a meatball marinara, sub’osaurus specially created for Norwich BID’s City Food Trail. Made up of roasted beef meatballs, smooth marinara sauce, grilled parmesan in a delicious homemade brioche sub roll.

Christophe’s Crêpes 
Head out to Christophe’s Crêpes and enjoy mini dutch pancakes with banana and milk chocolate buttons, topped with Nutella, chopped hazelnuts, and strawberries. The dessert of dreams!
