CopyCats – a series of Painting & Mixed Media Workshops inspired by famous Art History Masterpieces… but with cats!
Come and create your very own historical cat-themed masterpiece in this series of 2 hour mixed media workshops led by local artist and tutor Rachel Duffield.
These sessions will offer all materials you could possibly need and a host of cat muses for inspiration! There will be examples to copy if you wish, or you can go ‘off piste’ and create your own from scratch.
Moonlit Cats – Friday 19th September
In this 2-hour fun and friendly workshop you will make a characterful, shining illustration of a cat, in the style of Austrian artist Rosina Wachtmeister. We will use acrylic paints and metallic markers to create a silvery, moonlit image of your favourite feline crossing the rooftops.
Tutor Rachel Duffield will lead you step by step through the process with a series of demonstrations and examples. You’ll leave with a beautiful A4 artwork fit to grace the wall of any cat lover’s home.
There will be plenty of time for cat interaction and yummies from our cafe too.
Your first drink is included in the ticket price. You can also buy locally baked cakes, wine and ice cream!
There is an ‘Attending not joining in’ ticket for just £13 if you want to accompany but not to join in yourself – you still get to hang out with the cats, and get your first drink included too.
Please note: these workshops are for ages 12 and up.
