The ever-special, yet ever-cool Benedicts will be opening their restaurant for Mother’s Day lunch this year. There will be a 4-course menu, roast-dinner style - make sure you book as this will sell out fast! Also offering a special menu for the 31st is the new Cosy Club Norwich, who have just opened in a beautifully refurbished old bank on Norwich’s London Street. Cosy Club are doing set prices on the day: 2 courses for £19.95 or 3 courses for £24.95 - to have a look at their menu please visit their website. The Ivy Norwich Brasserie are also open, and serving all day from their contemporary British menu in their chic restaurant. So whether you’re out for breakfast or fancy a Sunday cocktail or two, this is your destination!
With the Kids
Each year, family favourites BeWILDerwood hold a special day to celebrate your wonderful mum. On ‘BeWILDermum’s Twiggle Treat Day’, mums go free, and the whole family will be able to enjoy the mystical world of this storybook come to life, in the heart of the Norfolk woodland. Wroxham Miniature Worlds is also open on the 31st of March, where you’ll be able to see over 10,000 square feet of tiny streets, railways, countryside and townscapes. Make a day of it in their new cafe and penny arcade too! Also suitable for all the family is Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, who have a whole parkland to explore, with dinosaurs to be found everywhere - plus mums go free! There are attractions here for everyone (from the youngest members of the family to the oldest), so you can easily spend all day here!
Close to Nature
Out on the water, Broads Tours are offering a special boat trip out on the broads, with a free glass of wine for mums! During the 1 and a half hour trip you’ll be able to experience a view of the wildlife from the water, as well as hear a wonderful commentary from the knowledgeable skipper. If you’d prefer to stay on land, Bure Valley Railway have Mother’s VIP package available to book - and you must book this in advance. The VIP ticket includes a trip on this incredibly scenic railway, lunch at the Whistlestop cafe, and a small gift for each mother. In west Norfolk, Pensthorpe Natural Park will be open on Mother’s day too, so you can spend the Sunday amongst the wildlife, and meeting some of the friendliest ducks in the world. The courtyard cafe does a wonderful lunch, and there are plenty of treats to be had in the gift shop too!
And for Mums to be…
