Love Light Norwich

Love Light Norwich is a bright new festival in the City of Stories, brought to you by Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) and supported with public funding from Arts Council England. We have commissioned internationally renowned light artworks, interactive installations and live music, light and fire performance for three nights of fun for all the family.

Valentine’s can be a time when people can feel isolated, and we are theming this first festival around love and belonging as an effort to bring everyone together. We’ve worked with partners across the city to create a festival for everyone, with a diverse programme of new cultural experiences. We want to celebrate the things that unite us all!

The theme of love and belonging is in part inspired by Norwich and Norfolk’s unique family tradition of Valentine’s Eve and Jack Valentine, but also bringing the more serious message of tackling loneliness to power social change through a series of Love Light Labs, a community conference on day one.

Renowned international acts and local artists taking part include:

Central to the festival is the three-day free art trail of discovery, taking in Norwich’s iconic landmarks and lesser-known spaces. Complimenting the art trail will be a series of stunning events, performance and the Valentine’s Parade. Check out the late-night Norwich Market on Thursday 13 February and sample the Love Food Trail – look out for the pink neon hearts in restaurants across the city centre!
