Norwich Theatre Playhouse

Creative Quarter Over the Water

Norwich Theatre Playhouse is a relaxed, intimate 300-seat riverside venue a 10-minute walk from its sister venues, Norwich Theatre Royal and Stage Two. The building dates back to the late nineteenth century and was once a maltings building.

The venue has become recognised as one of the best fringe venues in the country, having helped to launch the careers of many major performers. It is home to the famous Playhouse Bar which serves a selection of local ales and more exotic drinks, as well as teas, coffees, hot chocolates and hot cider. Interval drinks are always available, and the bar is open until midnight for after-show discussions and drinks.

Dogs on leads are allowed in the Playhouse Bar, and under 18s are welcome up to 7.00pm and later if watching or performing in a show.

All public areas have disabled access, guide dogs are welcome and The Playhouse uses the Sennheiser infra-red hearing system in the auditorium.
