Miss Julie

Norwich Lanes

As the sun sets on Midsummer’s Eve, servants and aristocrats alike revel in the merriment. Songs are heartily sung, and wine flows freely as Miss Julie, a beautiful young aristocrat, and Jean, her father’s valet, enter a dangerous yet thrilling duet of gender politics and class divisions.

Once banned for almost fifty years, Strindberg’s sexually charged, bitter, and provocative play examines the ever-shifting power dynamics between two very different people from two very different worlds.

Two performances are available on Saturday 16 August at 14:30 and 19:30.
