An Enchanting Evening of Nocturnal Music to Welcome a New Ensemble
The highly anticipated debut of the Norfolk Chamber Orchestra will take place at The Octagon Norwich on 21st June 2025 featuring a captivating concert entitled ‘Nacht Musik’. This exciting new ensemble led and directed by violinist Noel Vine, is set to bring an unforgettable night of music inspired by the mysterious and tranquil essence of nightfall.
Nachtmusik will be an evocative musical journey into the coming of night, highlighted by Mozart’s iconic Eine Kleine Nachtmusik—a timeless classic that has captured the essence of evening for centuries. The concert will also include lush and dreamy nocturnes from Russian composer Alexander Borodin and Czech maestro Antonín Dvořák, transporting the audience to faraway landscapes under the soft glow of moonlight.
In an exciting addition to the program, the Norfolk Chamber Orchestra will also present American composer Eric Whitacre’s ‘Sleep’, in a stunning arrangement for string orchestra. The piece, known for its lush harmonies and sweeping emotional depth, is sure to leave the audience in awe, bringing a new dimension to the night’s musical exploration.
