The Castle on the hill. This famous landmark fills the Norwich skyline and has been entertaining visitors for years. Built by the Normans as a Royal Palace over 900 years ago, Norwich Castle is now a museum and art gallery, home to stunning world art, archaeology, and natural history. The Castle is currently going through a £13.5m National Lottery Heritage Fund project, which will reinstate the medieval floors and rooms in the Castle Keep – watch this space!
