Visitor or local, if you’ve been to Norwich in the summer in previous years, you may have spotted some spectacular performances on the stages of Norwich Summer Sessions by Norwich Business Improvement District. Now, this annual free programme of street entertainment is back for its eleventh-year with yet another exciting and varied programme that you’re sure to love. And this year, you can find these performances dazzling crowds across two months!
The amazing Covent Garden Street Entertainers will now move their performances for the last two weeks of Norwich Summer Sessions from London Street to Brigg Street (Sunday, August 18 and Sunday, August 25)
Norwich Summer Sessions will start on Thursday evenings throughout July from 4pm – 8pm (Thursday, July 11, 18, and 25), before moving onto Sunday afternoons in August from 12:30pm – 4:30pm (Sunday, August 4, 11, 18, and 25). Across both dates, you can find Norwich Summer Sessions on four stages throughout the city, which are:
So, what kinds of performance will you find on these four stages? Truthfully, the programme, managed by NORCA, has a bit of everything for everyone! Over the Westlegate, St Gregory’s Green, and Gentleman’s Walk stages, you’ll find lively musical performance spanning genres like jazz, folk, street brass, pop, indie, rockabilly, and even latin with free salsa lessons (Sarabanda & Jack Hunt, Gentleman’s Walk, Sunday, August 18 from 1:15pm)! Meanwhile, the Brigg Street stage will be the place to go for laugh-out-loud, astonishing street theatre from Covent Garden entertainers. All in all, it’s bound to create a festival atmosphere around the city and bring a real buzz!
Norwich Summer Sessions is a truly an exciting time to get out and about in the City of Stories. Enjoy the sun, visit your favourite restaurant or café, and relax while enjoying some incredible performances in these picturesque settings across the city! Plus, throughout August’s Sunday performances, the Grosvenor Fish Bar will be open and serving their delicious fish and chips to enjoy while relaxing with the live performance of the St Gregory’s Green stage!

Pop/electronica to punk inspired tracks, as well as some more chilled acoustic sounds, Majic’s songs are about all aspects of life, whether personal experiences 0r topics he cares about.
1.25pm – Amy Reeve (Duo)
The Amy Reeve Band is a Norfolk-based band, having performed across the county at numerous events. They will be performing as a duo instead of the full band, performing an acoustic alt-pop set.
2.05pm – Lydia Cass
Acoustic, indie artist who performs well-known songs that are easy to sing along to.
2.45pm – Ronan
Ronan is a 17-year-old pop singing-songwriter who has performed at venues and events around the East Anglia and beyond.
3.25pm – Silvia Pettit
Silvia is a 16-year-old singer from Norwich, with a strong, broad range.
